What Home Renovation Dumpster Rental Actually Covers
Renovation waste catches people out because the room is small and the debris is not. Cabinets, counters and a tiled floor fill a container faster than the size of the room suggests.

Tile Is What Changes The Payload
Tile is what changes the answer
Cabinets and lumber are light enough that volume decides. Tile with the mortar bed under it runs 400 to 500 pounds per cubic yard against an allowance of 200, so a floor coming up is what turns a remodel into a weight job. A 20 yard reaches 2 tons at roughly nine cubic yards of it.
- Cabinets and trimLight, so volume decides on these alone

Questions
Home Renovation Dumpster Rental Questions
What size dumpster for a kitchen remodel?
A 15 yard covers most kitchens where the cabinets, counters and appliances are going. Step up to a 20 if the tile floor is coming up as well, because the mortar bed under it is what turns a volume job into a weight one. Tell us the floor area and whether tile is included and we will size it properly.
Can I keep the dumpster for a phased renovation?
Yes. Standard containers include 7 days on site, and extra days run $15 per day if the job runs long. Call before the pickup date and it is straightforward. On a longer remodel a swap partway through often costs less than extending.
How long will I need it for a kitchen remodel?
Most kitchens come out in a day or two, and 7 days covers the tear-out plus the trickle of packaging that follows. Where it runs long is a phased remodel, and on those a swap partway through usually costs less than extending the same container.
Can it sit on a paver or asphalt driveway?
Yes, and this is when to ask for driveway protection. The container rests on rails rather than wheels so the load spreads along its length. On pavers, sealed asphalt or a decorative surface, boards under the rails are cheap insurance, and they are available on request.
What about the old appliances?
Washers, dryers, stoves, dishwashers and water heaters all go in at no extra charge. Anything holding refrigerant is the exception, so a refrigerator, freezer or AC unit needs a word before you load it and we will tell you how it is handled.
