What Commercial Dumpster Rental Actually Covers

20 yard dumpster on an active commercial jobsite

Commercial work is usually the opposite of a household cleanout. The material is denser, the timing is tighter, and the thing that costs money is a container sitting full while the crew waits.

Payload Rating

Payload Runs Out Before The Walls Do

Why a jobsite container fills early

Mixed construction and demolition debris runs 350 to 500 pounds per cubic yard against an allowance of 200. That means a 20 yard reaches 2 tons at roughly nine cubic yards, less than half full. On a jobsite the answer is a swap rather than a bigger box, because no container is rated for a full load of dense material.

  • Mixed C and D debris350 to 500 lb per cubic yard
  • Drywall and plaster400 to 500 lb per cubic yard
  • Framing lumber300 to 400 lb per cubic yard, the lightest of the three
Agency research for sizing, not guarantees. The allowance on a standard roll-off is 200 pounds a cubic yard.

Site Ops

How It Actually Runs

  • Swaps scheduled at booking

An empty container replaces the full one so the crew never stops for a pickup.

  • Scale tickets on request

The weight on your invoice is the weight the facility recorded, and we will send the ticket.

  • Saturday delivery

8:00 AM to 1:00 PM, a normal window rather than an emergency call.

Tell Us The Job. We Will Size It.

Book online in about a minute, or call and describe it. If a different container fits better, we will say so.

Questions

Commercial Dumpster Rental Questions

Can I get more than one container on site?

Yes, and on a mixed job you often should. Masonry has to travel separately from general debris because it goes to a different facility, so a demolition that produces both is two containers rather than one contaminated load. Tell us the materials at booking and we will plan the drops around them.

How fast can you swap a full container?

Next working day is standard, Monday through Friday, and an order placed before the noon cutoff may go out the same day depending on what is already routed. Scheduling the swap when you book is what keeps a crew from waiting on one.

Do you deliver to an active jobsite with a crew working?

Yes, and it helps to say so when you book. The driver needs about 60 feet of straight clearance to roll the container off the back. A crew, a lift and a material drop in the same yard changes where that fits, so tell us the layout and the placement gets planned before the truck arrives.

Can I get an invoice per job rather than per container?

Tell us the job reference when you book and it goes on the paperwork. If you want the disposal weight documented as well, ask for the scale ticket and we send it with the invoice, so what you bill on is the weight the facility recorded rather than an estimate.

What happens if the container is blocked on pickup day?

Call before the pickup date and we reschedule at no charge. A truck that arrives and cannot reach the container is a wasted run, which is the one thing on a jobsite worth a phone call to avoid. Parked vehicles and a material delivery in the same spot are the usual causes.
