What size dumpster for a construction site?
A 20 yard is the default, and the real question is how often it needs swapping rather than how big it is. Framing offcuts reach 2 tons at about 11 cubic yards, so on an active site the container fills by weight before it fills by volume. Scheduling swaps at booking is what keeps the job moving.
Can I put concrete in a construction dumpster?
No. Broken concrete weighs two to three times what general construction debris does for the same volume, so it passes the allowance while the box still looks nearly empty. Footings, block and slab go in the heavy material container at $375, which is priced for a clean single-material load.
Can you deliver before the crew starts?
Yes. An early drop means the container is in place when work begins, rather than the first hour going on working around a delivery. Book the date when you book the container, and say if site access closes at a certain hour.
Do you take treated lumber and pressure-treated decking?
Yes, both go in a standard roll-off with the rest of the construction debris. What does not is anything coated in lead-based product, asbestos board, and any liquid. Those are refused at the disposal facility whoever hauls them.
How many containers will a new build need?
