These terms

These terms apply to every rental from PVD Dumpster Rentals. Booking a container, whether online or by phone, means agreeing to them. They are governed by the laws of Rhode Island.

Booking and pricing

• Published prices are starting prices. What you pay depends on the container, the material going in it and where it is going.
• The total for your container, your material and your address is shown before you pay.
• The price covers delivery, pickup and disposal up to the included weight for the stated rental period.

Weight and overage

Every container includes a stated weight allowance. Loads cross a certified scale at the disposal facility and anything above the allowance is billed per ton at the published rate. We will provide the scale ticket on request, so the billed weight is the weight the facility recorded.

Rental period

The rental period starts on the day of delivery. Extra days are charged at the published daily rate. Call before the scheduled pickup date if you need longer.

What can and cannot go in

Prohibited materials are refused at the disposal facility regardless of who hauls them, and include hazardous waste, liquids, asbestos, batteries, pressurised cylinders and medical waste. Heavy material such as concrete, brick, dirt and sod must be booked in the dedicated container and cannot be mixed into a general load.

A load found to contain prohibited material, or a mixed load booked as a clean one, may be refused, repriced or returned at your cost. Ask before it goes in and it does not happen.

Loading

• Loads must be level with the top rail. A container loaded above the rail cannot be legally sheeted for transport and will not be collected until it is corrected.
• Nothing may be added after the container is collected.
• The container remains our property throughout the rental.

Placement and access

You are responsible for telling us where the container should go, and for confirming the surface and the access will take a loaded truck. We need approximately 60 feet of straight clearance to place and collect a container.

Where a container is to be placed on a public street or sidewalk, obtaining any municipal permit is your responsibility. Permit rules are set by each city or town.

Damage and property

Containers rest on rails and the weight distributes along their length. Even so, placing a loaded container on any surface carries some risk, and driveway protection is available on request. Cancellation and access failure

Cancel or reschedule by calling us before the scheduled delivery or pickup. If our truck arrives and cannot place or collect a container because of blocked access, a vehicle in the way or unsafe ground, a dry run charge may apply.

Insurance

[CONFIRM: carrier, coverage type and limits are to be supplied by the client before this section publishes. The Licensed and Insured badge is blocked on the same confirmation.]

Payment

Payment is taken at booking. Additional charges, including overage, extra days and per-item fees, are invoiced after collection.
