Roofing Dumpster Rental
A container for a tear-off, sized on the square count rather than on the floor area of the house. Shingles are the densest thing most homes produce.

What Roofing Dumpster Rental Actually Covers
A roofing container reaches its weight allowance while the box still looks half empty. That is why the only question that matters here is how many squares are coming off, and whether there is more than one layer.

Weight Fills This One, Not Volume
The arithmetic nobody publishes
A roofing square is 100 square feet. Asphalt shingle runs about 250 pounds a square, so a 20 yard container with 2 tons included is at its allowance at roughly 16 squares of single-layer tear-off. A 20 square roof passes it before the underlayment goes in, and two layers doubles the weight without changing the roof size at all.

How It Actually Runs
Tell us the square count
Not the floor area of the house. Squares and layer count are what size the container.
Placed close to the drop zone
Say where the crew is working and the driver sets it there rather than at the curb.
Nails come with it
Shingles, felt, flashing and the nails in them all go in the same container.
Tell Us The Job. We Will Size It.
Book online in about a minute, or call and describe it. If a different container fits better, we will say so.
Questions
Roofing Dumpster Rental Questions
What size dumpster do I need for a roof?
For a single-layer asphalt tear-off, a 20 yard covers roughly 16 squares. That comes from about 250 pounds a square against the 2 tons included, which is the number most pages leave out. Over 16 squares, or a second layer, and you want two containers rather than one bigger box, because no roll-off is rated to carry it.
Can I put a whole roof in one dumpster?
It depends entirely on the square count, not the size of the house. A small ranch at 12 squares fits comfortably in a 20 yard. A larger roof at 25 squares does not, and neither does any single container we run. Give us the squares and the layer count when you book and we will tell you straight whether it is one drop or two.
Can you put the dumpster right under the roofline?
Usually, and it is worth asking. A container under the drop zone saves the crew carrying every bundle across the yard, which is most of the labor on a tear-off. Tell us which elevation the crew is on and that is where it goes.
What about the nails?
They go in with the shingles. Nails, felt, flashing and drip edge all belong in the same container and there is no sorting at your end. What we ask is that the load stays flat with the top rail, because the container has to be sheeted before the truck leaves with it.
Is a roofing dumpster different from a regular one?
It is the same container, sized differently. What makes a roofing rental its own job is that the weight allowance binds long before the walls do, so the size comes from the square count rather than from the volume of debris. Same box, different arithmetic.
